HALEEM
Today,am going to share a very popular Middle Eastern,central Asian dish " Haleem". it's Delicious, easy and everyone love's eating haleem. haleem is a type of stew which consist of barley, meat and lentils. and it is high in nutrition.with out any further ado lets get started.
INGREDIENTS:
500 gram sock lentils(dal chana)
INGREDIENTS:
- 250 gram barley(dalia)
- 500 gram mutton
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 big onion
- garlic paste
- red chili powder
- salt
- mix garam masala
- oil 250 gram
- Mint
- Ginger
- Caramelize onion
- Green chilies
- Lemon
Method:
So, we going to cook this stew in three sections. first, we need to prepare the barley or dalia what ever you want to say,In a cooking pot add barley,l.5 litter water, half spoon salt,half spoon red chili powder and 1 spoon of oil. cover this with lid and let it cook for 20 minutes on medium heat. now, follow the same method for lentils as well. For, meat in a pot add chop tomatoes, onion, garlic paste, half tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon garam masala ,meat and 1 litter water all together and cover this with a lid and cook until your meat get tender,add oil and cook again on medium heat for 5 mints and stir the meat, make sure not to burn the meat. when, oil started flowing on top, add half glass of water and make it simmer then,turn off the heat.
now, blend cooked lentils and barley in to smooth consistency.and remove the bones from meat and then shred the meat in a separate bowl. now, in a large pot add the mutton gravy blended lentils and barley,shredded meat together and cook the stew for 10 minutes on low flame.
Now, pour the stew in a serving bowl and garnish with caramelize onion, ginger and and chilies. if you want to make this more delicious add melted clarify butter on top. you can eat this with rice, flate bread or with spoon.👯
